Important Information
Dress Code
Rubber is encouraged at all events, but some events e.g. the market, are rubber-optional. Most evening parties have specific dress codes - check individual event listings for details. Our main parties have a strict rubber dress code!
Full Cover is the strictest dress code event of the weekend. Rubber from the neck down and boots are mandatory. Waders, motorcycle/MX boots and Doc Martens are accepted. Trainers/sneakers/crocs/shoes are not. This event is not run by MRW, so please check @fullcovermcr on X or Instagram for full dress code details.
Venue Information
Most events take place within Manchester's Gay Village, centered around Canal Street, less than a 5 minute walk from Piccadilly Station. Most venues are within a 5-10 minute walk of each other.
Cloakroom Facilities
All parties have cloakroom facilities, but some are limited in size. We recommend only bringing essential items with you. If you're staying close to the Village, consider leaving bags in your hotel room.
Wristband Exchange and Newbies
Wristband exchange takes place across the village. Look for volunteers at events and at the dedicated wristband exchange listings on the Events page.
New to MRW? Ask for a newbie wristband at exchange. It is a different colour so others can spot you and help you feel welcome.
Entry and Venue Rules
Alert has a last entry of 1:00 AM. Please arrive in time to avoid disappointment.
Opened bottles of poppers are not allowed in any venue. Attempting to bring drugs or other contraband into venues can result in removal and being added to no-admittance lists across the village.
Lube Rules by Event
Most venues in the Gay Village are part of the LGBT Foundation safer sex scheme, so free condoms and a lube sachet are usually available in venue safe sex packs. "No bottles allowed" means no personal lube bottles can be brought in.
Thursday
- Stretch: no personal bottles allowed
Friday
- Alert: bring your own
- Hellbent: no personal bottles allowed
Saturday
- Deviant: no personal bottles allowed
- Lubeylicious: no personal bottles can be brought in, but 250ml bottles of J Lube are provided free of charge.
Sunday
- Heavy Handed: bring your own
- Slick: no personal bottles allowed
Please remember: individual events and venues set their own rules for lube bottles, not the MRW organisers, so please check the event listings for details.
